Support

The most valuable thing that people have given to me throughout my career has been support. Life as a creative can be lonely and trying to do things in the arts sector can be daunting, even when you have the answers, it’s even more difficult when you need support and don’t know where to turn. So, I want to say that you can turn to me.

I’m offering free (in every context) support to any one who needs it.

Here’s my disclaimer:

  • I’m not an expert in anything. I have experience in some things and, more than anything, I’m willing to offer some support if you need it.

  • I have to balance this support with my family time and work commitments so I can’t promise I can always offer it but I will communicate with you if/when I can’t.

  • I will never do the work for you, I will only offer support in what you’re already doing/trying to do.

Here are ways I can support:

  • Proof-reading applications, CVs, poetry, short stories, and film scripts (stage scripts simply for grammar and typos)

  • Budget advice (I have experience creating and managing budgets up to £126,000.00)

  • Disability access advice: Integrated, additional, budgeting for access, and sharing access contacts

  • You can pitch me ideas and I can ask you questions to support you in developing that idea.

  • If you’re struggling to find arts jobs and opportunities I can help by sending you things directly.

  • If you struggle to write, I can accept voice notes or audio files and transcribe them for you for a first draft that you can then build on and add to. I hate phone calls, I only phone my sisters and one friend, however, if that’s what’s best for you then I can find a good day to call you for me to transcribe from a phone conversation.

How to contact me:

  • If you need anything that you think I can support you with email me at Krystalslowe.contact@gmail.com with the subject line ‘Support’ and a deadline for when you need a reply by. The deadline is essential. If you say there’s no deadline then there’s a good chance I’ll forget to ever respond to you. If there’s no set deadline then make one up - I love/need deadlines.

  • I will respond to let you know if I can help and how long I will take to respond to you.

  • That’s it.

If you don’t need this support then feel free to share it with anyone who you know would benefit from this. This is open to literally anyone who needs it: freelancers, employed people, young, old, and everyone in between.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Gorau / Best,

Krystal :)
